Day 5: Whiteboarding and Blogging

After whiteboarding the results from our first attempt at the Buggy Lab, three out of my four classes got started using Edmodo.

Things that worked:
  • When they could get on computers, the kids were focused on what they were doing. While my students are familiar with both Facebook and TurnItIn, Edmodo is a bit of a hybrid.
Things that could be improved:
  • I'm not thrilled by my intro to motion. I'm going to have to work on it next summer.
  • The technology isn't really robust enough to cope with the rain out last week, so some machines didn't have an up-to-date browser, and some made molasses in February look like water.
